UIDAI covers almost 67% of the Indian residents. This generates about 81.78 crores of UID numbers. Keeping track of each and every number may be tedious. But UIDAI has launched a few services to facilitate the ease of residents and the cardholders.
All this procedure starts with a single application form followed by an enrollment process. During this, you are requested to submit all the proof documents. Also biometric details such as fingerprints and eyes. When this procedure is complete, you’ll be handed over an acknowledgement slip for further reference.
Once you have completed all the formalities and followed all the required steps, you can check the status of your AADHAR card easily. The hard copy of the AADHAR card may take three months to reach you. In between, you can check the status of the processing of your UID through Internet or through SMS. You can also call the respective call center executive for that. Unique Identification Authority of India has already activated these services.
