Aadhar Card is an integral document for anyone’s identity in India. The good news is that you can apply for Aadhar card anywhere in India with the least of documentation. Once you have undergone the demographic and biometric tests at your nearest Aadhar enrolment center, the officials there would issue you an acknowledgement slip through which you can check the status of your Aadhar card and track its delivery. It usually takes 60 to 90 days for the Aadhar card to be delivered to your registered address.
Broadly, there are three ways through which you can track and check your Aadhar card status:
- Online Method
- Through SMS
- By calling Helpline Number
Follow these simple steps to check and track your Aadhar card status online:
- Open the UIDAI official website
- Click on ‘Check Aadhar Card Status’
- Input your ‘Enrollment Number’ in the field provided on the new page along with date and time mentioned on your acknowledgement slip
- There is also a captcha image on the page, which you need to type in the box below exactly the way it shows
- Click on ‘Submit’ and the new page would show the status of your Aadhar card
The final page would show you whether your Aadhar card number is generated or not and if generated and dispatched, it would show you the Delivery Tracking Details. That would be all you need to track your Aadhar card.
Through SMS Method
Tracking your Aadhar card status through SMS is even easier. All you need to do is compose an SMS mentioning the following and send it to 51969:
UID STATUS <14 DIGIT ENROLLMENT NUMBER>
Once you send the above message to the 51969, you would receive an SMS within minutes mentioning the status of your Aadhar number bearing tracking details, if it has been dispatched.
By calling Helpline Number
Another mode of tracking the status of your Aadhar card is by calling UIDAI at the following toll-free number:
Toll Free Helpline: 1800-300-1947
Once you call this number, a representative would receive you call and would ask for your enrollment number and date and time of application. The representative would provide you the complete status instantly over the call. If your Aadhar card is already dispatched, do not forget to ask the representative to provide you the tracking number of the courier.
Check and Track your Aadhar Card Delivery status Through Indian Post
One of the simplest method to track the delivery of your Aadhar card is to visit Indian Post website and enter the tracking ID provided by the UIDAI against your enrollment. The website would clearly show the status of delivery of your Aadhar card. You can use this url for that http://services.ptcmysore.gov.in/Speednettracking/Track/UIDTrack.aspx
Last but not the least, in every method of tracking the status of your Aadhar card, you would require your 14 digits enrollment number provided to your after your biometric tests.
